I know that there are alot of people that loves/likes Long John Silver's Fish.I couldn't believe that I have it.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups soybean oil
  • 1 1/3 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 lbs. fresh cold fillets
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar

Directions
  1. Heat oil in a deep pan to about 400 degrees.Cut the fish into approximately 7 x 2-inch wedges.With a mixer, blend the flour, water, egg, sugar and salt.Dip each fillet into the batter, coating generously and quickly drop into the oil.It is crucial. that your oil be hot before frying the fish.To test the temperature, drip some batter into the oil.It should bubble rapidly.After 5 minutes, the test batter should become golden brown.If so, fry away fish fans.

I tried this recipe yesterday recipe and it turned out great! The only thing was the batter was a little too watery, and the batter just rolled off the fish while I was frying it. I added a little exra flour to thicken it enough for it to stay on the fish.
It tastes and smells just like Long John Silver's fish! :)
