How to make it

  • You will need to soak the saltfish over night to get all the salt out.
  • Boil saltfish for about 15 mins until nice and soft
  • Then fry your onion & garlic for about 5 mins
  • Add peppers, thyme, and seasoning, fry for about 10 mins
  • Now add the salt fish and fry for about 10 mins
  • Add your ackee and carfuly fold through until cooked.
  • * The ackie is very delicate, try and be gentle!
  • Its a good i idea to boil the ackee for about 5 mins before.

    I had this dish there one time and it had me sweeting, The cook loved his bonnet peppers.
    Wish the fruit and fish where cheaper her in the states.\0
