- 3 large eggs shopping list
- 1 cup and 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 1 lemon rind shopping list
- 1 and 2/5 cups flour shopping list
- 2/3 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 4/5 cup butter or oil shopping list
- Confectioners'sugar for decorating shopping list
How to make it
- Lightly butter a square cake pan and dust with flour.
- Preheat the oven on 180C.
- Beat the eggs in a bowl, adding sugar.
- Beat the egg mixture until foamy.
- Grate lemon rind and add it to the mixture.
- Sift flour with baking powder, then add it to the mixture and fold with a wooden spoon.
- Fold in melted butter or oil one-third at a time, pouring over wooden spoon.
- Pour batter into prepared cake pan and bake for about 30min.
- After the cake is done, cool it on a wire rack, then sprinkle with confectioners'sugar.
