How to make it

  • Mix together the flour, sugar, suet mix, egg and enough milk to make a thick batter consistency.
  • Grease a steam pudding basin and place a couple of tablespoons of goldensyrup in the bottom.
  • Place batter mixture on top.
  • Place lid on basin, then put the basin in a large saucepan of water and steam for 90 mins - 2 hours.
  • When cooked turn out onto a plate and slice and serve with ice cream.
