My Own Beef Orzo Burgandy Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. lean round beef sliced
  • 1 med. onion sliced
  • 1 large red pepper sliced in strips
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. rosemary
  • 2 tblsp. parsley
  • 3 cups Burgandy wine
  • 2 cups water
  • fresh black pepper
  • kosher salt to taste
  • 1 tlbs.cidar vinegar
  • 1 tblsp. tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 8 oz. baby carrots (frozen)
  • 10 oz. baby frozen onion
  • 8 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms
  • about 6 oz. Orzo pasta
  • More water if needed
  • olive oil to brown

Directions
  1. Brown meat lightly
  2. add pepper strips and onions,saute
  3. Add seasonings (herbs)
  4. Add burgandy and stir together
  5. add 2 cups water
  6. add cider vinegar
  7. Cover and simmer about 2 hours.
  8. add vegetables.
  9. Recover and simmer low about 30 minutes more.
  10. Add flour and stir it in well.
  11. Now add Orzo stir in well.
  12. cook 10 minutes more
  13. Stir and watch and add water as needed
  14. stir and watch so it doesn't stick.
  15. Enjoy,so good!
