While this dish may not be diet friendly, it is incredibly delicious and undoubtedly the best lasagna that has ever pleased my palate.

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 oz.) box lasagna noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 jars marinara sauce
  • 16 oz. Ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper
  • 2 cups Italian blend cheese

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cook noodles according to directions on package. Do not drain. Set aside.
  3. On medium heat, saute onions and garlic in olive oil until onions are semi-translucent.
  4. Add ground beef and brown.
  5. Drain grease once beef is fully cooked.
  6. Add marinara and simmer on low heat while preparing ricotta mixture.
  7. Combine the ricotta with the parmesan cheese and parsley.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Set mixture aside.
  10. In a 13 x 9 glass baking dish, create a layer of noodles without overlapping.
  11. Add a layer of sauce, then a layer of the ricotta mixture. Repeat until dish is full with sauce being the last layer.
  12. Sprinkle Italian blend cheese over top.
  13. Bake for 35 min or until cheese is bubbly.
