Taco Soup Your Way

- 1 lb. ground meat (I use turkey) shopping list
- 2 T. your favorite taco seasoning (omit if using pre-seasoned meat) shopping list
- 1 can your favorite canned chili (I use Campbell's Roadhouse) shopping list
- 1 can petite diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 small can sliced black olives (drained) shopping list
- 1 can (or 2 C. frozen) corn (drained) shopping list
- 1 C. water shopping list
- 1/2 C. diced onions (opt.) shopping list
- Serve with: tortilla chips, sour cream, guacamole, grated cheese (opt.) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown ground meat (with onions if using them) and drain if needed. Stir in water, seasoning, tomatoes, chili, olives & corn. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered at least 15-20 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips. Don't forget sour cream, guacamole and/or grated cheese on top!
- This soup also works well with venison. You can also substitute 1/3 - 1/2 of the tomatoes for your favorite salsa to turn up the heat.
