Rogers Easy Cobbler With Crunchy Topping

- My friend wanted a simple, easy cobbler recipe. I came up with this and i thought it sounded pretty simple and easy. shopping list

- 1 large can apple pie filling (bigger than the 303 size and you can use just the canned sliced apples). If pie filling is too thick mix in some apple juice. shopping list
- 1/2 the cookie recipe that follows ( or how much you want to put into the cobbler) You can buy Quaker oatmeal Pouches with all the ingredients you will need, if you want a really easy recipe. You will just have to mix all together with the butter. They also sell Toll House cookie dough with theses ingredients in the dough. shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts for the topping or crunch topping recipe below shopping list
- Sprinkles of cinnamon, all spice, brown sugar or whatever you like in your apple pies. shopping list
- 2 tbs. UN-salted butter shopping list
How to make it
- Take a small baking pan and put in apple pie filling. Sprinkle top of apples with brown sugar
- and other spices to your taste. Add drops of oatmeal cookie recipe on top or you can spread entire top with the oatmeal mixture. Sprinkle with walnuts or a Nut Crunch Mixture:
- 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. walnuts chopped
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Small bowl -mix all together
- Lightly sprinkle crunch mixture on top before baking. Dot with butter and bake at 350 til cookie dough is done, serve with ice cream.
- This is fast and easy, kids like to help with it.
- There are some variations. you can use pie dough for the topping, also Bisquick Mix works as a topping. any Kind of fruit you like will work, Peaches are good.
