Apple Jack Pizza

- 1 (14 oz.) can refrigerated pizza crust shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 Maui onions, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced shopping list
- 2 teaspoons sugar, more if desired shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, more if needed shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups monterey jack cheese, shredded shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded shopping list
- 2 tablespoons walnuts, chopped shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- Fresh thyme, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Roll pizza dough into a 12-inch round.
- Drizzle olive oil on a baking sheet and place dough on top.
- With a fork, pierce the dough in several places.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until light golden brown.
- Remove from oven; set aside.
- Reduce oven temp. to 375 degrees.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add onions and cook about 15 minutes, or until onions are soft and golden.
- Add apples, sugar and salt.
- Cook 5 minutes, until sugar is melted and apples are soft.
- Spread apple-onion mixture over crust.
- Top with cheeses and walnuts.
- Bake 15-20 minutes or until cheese has melted.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh thyme.
