Ingredients

1-1/2 sticks butter

3 tablespoons sugar

1 cup chopped dates

1-1/2 cups applesauce

1 cup pecans chopped

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon cloves

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 teaspoon soda

2 cups plus 2 tablespoon all purpose flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Have butter at room temperature. Mix butter, applesauce, sugar, sifted flour, soda, cloves and cinnamon together. Put pecans and dates in bowl and add a few spoons of the flour mixture then stir until pecans and fruit are coated. Mix well and bake in tube pan for 35 minutes. Line bottom of pan with wax paper.
