Pecan Upside Down Cake

- 1/2 cup butter, melted shopping list
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup dark corn syrup shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups pecan halves shopping list
- 1 package (18-1/4 oz.) butter pecan cake mix shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/3 cup applesauce shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- In a small bowl; combine the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and pecans.
- Spread evenly into a 9 x 13 inch pan that has been coated with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; beat with a mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Pour over pecan mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool for 5 minutes.
- Serve warm.
