How to make it

  • Mix salt, pepper, sugar self-rising flour, cornmeal and cinnamon in a bowl. Batter your squash in this mixture and drop into oil when it reaches 300 degrees or higher.
  • Cook about 10 minutes or until brown. Drain on paper towel
