How to make it

  • Place the apples, rhubarb, sugar and water in a saucepan and cook until soft.
  • Then place in baking/casserole dish.
  • In a food processor or by hand process the flour, butter and sugar until like breadcrumbs.
  • Place on top of fruit.
  • Sprinkle with a little more sugar and bake in a moderate/180C/350F oven for 20-30 mins until golden.
