Ingredients
  • 4-6 green apples (Granny Smith) -cored, peeled and sliced
  • 4-6 sticks of rhubarb - sliced
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • dash water
  • 225g/1 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 75g/1/3 cup sugar
  • 175g butter

Directions
  1. Place the apples, rhubarb, sugar and water in a saucepan and cook until soft.
  2. Then place in baking/casserole dish.
  3. In a food processor or by hand process the flour, butter and sugar until like breadcrumbs.
  4. Place on top of fruit.
  5. Sprinkle with a little more sugar and bake in a moderate/180C/350F oven for 20-30 mins until golden.
