Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) sweet cream butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts, chopped

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in applesauce. Gradually add in flour mixture and mix until just incorporated. Fold in butterscotch chips and macadamia nuts.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
