Sweet And Savory Carrots Recipe
Beef flavor added to the carrots in combination with the other ingredients is delightful.

Ingredients
  • Sweet and savory carrots
  • 2 lbs. sweet carrots peeled and cut into circles
  • water to cover
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar or to taste
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp of beef Bovril ( or beef bouillon cube to taste )
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Cook carrots in water until almost tender.
  2. Drain.
  3. Add the orange juice, brown sugar and butter or margarine and cook and stir over medium heat to dissolve sugar.
  4. Stir in the Bovril or beef bullion cube.
  5. Salt and pepper to taste .Cook till tender .
  6. Serves 6 to 8
  7. Garnish with some fresh chopped parsley.
