- 4 oz broad noodles shopping list
- 8 large slices breast of turkey shopping list
- 1 cup cooked green beans shopping list
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 2 tbs slivered almonds (optional) shopping list
- Cheddar Sauce: shopping list
- 2 tbs butter or margarine shopping list
- 2 tbs flour shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 2 egg yolks, beaten shopping list
- dash Tabasco shopping list
- 1 tsp bouillon powder or 1 chicken bouillon cube shopping list
- 1 tbs steak sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup grated Cheddar or American cheese. shopping list
How to make it
- Cook the noodles according to package directions. Rinse in hot water: drain well. Pour half the noodles into well-greased 4-cup casserole. Layer with 4 slices of turkey, remainder of noodles, and repeat turkey. Make a border with green beans. Pour Cheddar Sauce (below) over all and dust with Parmesan cheese; sprinkle with almonds. Bake in a 400 degree oven 25 to 30 minutes, of until brown.
- Cheddar Sauce:
- Heat butter in sauce pan; add flour, stirring until smooth and lightly browned. add milk slowly, stirring constantly until blended; stir a small amount into egg yolks, then return to milk mixture. Heat; add remaining ingredients; simmer until well blended and thickened. Makes about 2 cups.
