How to make it

  • In a 4 quart pressure cooker, place roast that has been sprinkled with Pepper on all sides.
  • Add beer, minced garlic, crushed red peppers, marinade, and onion.
  • Add water to cover the roast.
  • Vegetables - Peel and cut potatos into chunks.
  • Add potatoes and baby carrots to the roast approximately 2 1/2 hours into cooking time. Approximately 1 hour before serving.
  • Cook 3 1/2 to 4 hours on low heat WITHOUT using the regulator to build pressure.
  • Take a portion of the liquid the roast cooked in and thicken to make a wonderful and complimentary brown gravy for mashed potatos.
  • Hint: The remaining liquid makes a terrific base for homemade vegetable beef soup or beef stew!
