Chocolate Mint Sticks

- 2 eggs (beaten) shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine (melted) shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 squares chocolate (melted) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp peppermint flavoring shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup shredded almonds shopping list

- Combine the eggs, margarine and sugar. Beat well. shopping list
- Add the chocolate and peppermint flavoring. Stir until thoroughly blended. shopping list
- Add flour and nuts, mix well. shopping list
- Pour into a greased 9″ square pan. shopping list
- Bake in a moderate oven, 350°F, 20 to 30 minutes. shopping list

- Thoroughly blend 2 TBS margarine and cream. shopping list
- Add sugar and flavoring. shopping list
- Spread over the baked layer that has first been cooled. shopping list
- Melt the chocolate and 1 TBS margarine together, mixing well. shopping list
- Spread this over the frosting layer once the frosting is firm. shopping list

- Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill until the frosting and top chocolate layer is firm. Cut into strips 3/4″ x 2 1/4″. shopping list
