How to make it

  • Mix raisins and rum.
  • Grate the marzipan.
  • Combine pudding mix and 200 ml of milk.
  • Boil 500 ml of the milk and the cream and remove from the heat.
  • Dissolve Marzipan the milk and cream mixture
  • Stir in pudding powder, stir and simmer for about 1 minute, then cool.
  • Beat the eggs, 150 ml of milk, oil, quark cheese, sugar and salt.
  • Combine Flour and baking powder and add to cheese mixture to form a dough
  • Divide dough in half and roll out on floured surface,each into a rectangle (about 36 X 42 cm).
  • Combine three quarters of the cooked custard and raisins and spread on each piece of dough
  • Roll dough up from the short sides and cut each into 8 slices.
  • Place the coils in a greased baking ( roasting ) pan leaving space between each to rise
  • Place remainder of pudding between the gaps of the coils
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C.
  • Bake about 40 minutes. or golden and baked
  • Then spread rolls with warmed apricot jam and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  • Allow to cool to warm and serve
