Minted Peas with Peppercorns

- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 3 fresh mint sprigs shopping list
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon granulated sugar shopping list
- 4 cups fresh green peas shopping list
- 2 teaspoons coarsely ground pink peppercorns shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black peppercorns shopping list
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh mint shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt shopping list
How to make it
- Combine water, mint, butter, salt and sugar in a medium sauce pot.
- Bring mixture to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 2 minutes.
- Bring mixture back to a boil then add peas and cover the pan.
- Reduce heat to medium low and simmer peas 5 minutes and remove mint sprigs.
- Place peas in a warm bowl and stir in the peppercorns and fresh mint.
- Season with sea salt and serve immediately.
