Herb Butter for a Smoked Turkey

This is a compound butter with dried or fresh herbs that is spread under the breast skin of the turkey prior to smoking it
Ingredients
- 2 sticks of un-salted butter shopping list
- 2 Tblsp of mixed cracked peppercorns shopping list
- 1 Tblsp kosher salt shopping list
- 2 tsp oregano shopping list
- 2 tsp rosemary shopping list
- 2 tsp thyme shopping list
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp sage shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tsp onion powder shopping list
How to make it
- Whip butter to a smooth paste then add all ingredients and whip butter forming a smooth paste let sit for an hour on the counter top to keep soft.
