Stumps Braised Rabbit

- 1 medium rabbit 2lbs cut into portions shopping list
- 1/4c flour shopping list
- 1/2tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2tsp pepper shopping list
- 4T shortening shopping list
- 1/4c sherry shopping list
- 1/4tsp thyme shopping list
- 1/4tsp seasoning salt shopping list
- 2T finely chopped green pepper shopping list
- 2T finely chopped celery shopping list
How to make it
- Flour the rabbit pieces in a bag with flour, salt, garlic and pepper.
- Brown slowly in shortening.
- Combine sherry, thyme, seasoning salt, green pepper, and celery.
- Mix well and pour over rabbit and cover immediately.
- Bring to boil then simmer antil tender on range top.
- Or bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
