Oven Broiled Back Ribs

- 4 racks of back ribs shopping list
- one large onion (unpeeled cut in quarters) shopping list
- 1 bulb of garlic (cut in half) shopping list
- 2 carrots (ends cut off cut in large chunks) shopping list
- 2 stalks of celery (cut in large chunks) shopping list
- 4 bay leaves shopping list
- 20 peppercorns shopping list
- 1/2 cup ketchup shopping list
- 6 beef bouillon cubes shopping list
- water to just about cover shopping list
- bbq sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp garlic salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp thyme shopping list
- 1 medium onion minced shopping list
- juice of 1 lemon shopping list
- 1 cup ketchup shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 2 tbsp worchestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 tsp prepared mustard shopping list
How to make it
- Cut racks of ribs in half and place in a large roasting pan
- add vegetables, bay leaves, pepper, bouillon cubes, ketchup and water. Add water to just about cover ribs
- Cover and cook at 400 degrees for approximately 2 hours or fork tender
- Mix together bbq sauce ingredients and simmer uncovered low heat 15 minutes...let cool
- place racks of ribs on a broiler pan
- broil 3 minutes
- brush a generous amount of bbq sauce on ribs and broil 3 minutes
- repeat 3 times
