The Perfect Beans on Toast

- 1 tin of baked beans in tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 tbsp cream cheese (eg Philadelphia) shopping list
- 1 ready cooked Bockwurst sausage shopping list
- a pinch of dried mixed herbs shopping list
- 2 slices of lightly toasted white bread, buttered. shopping list
How to make it
- Open the tin and pour the beans into a saucepan along with the cream cheese and place on a low to medium heat. Do not bring to the boil.
- Slice the sausage into 1/2cm slices. Quarter the slices into triangles and add to the pan.
- Give it all a good stir until the cream cheese has nicely thickened the sauce.
- Turn the heat down to low whilst you place the buttered toast onto a large plate. Keep a close eye on the pan. Do not allow sauce to simmer.
- Once the beans are nice and hot (about 5-6mins) turn off the heat, stir in a pinch of dried mixed herbs and immediately pour onto the toast.
- Serve along side a nice cup of tea!
