How to make it

  • Preheat oven:400 degrees
  • place crackers in single layer in a foil=lined 15X10X1 inch pan.
  • Cook butter and sugar in a saucepan on medium-high heat until butter is melted and mixture is well-blended,stirring occassionally
  • Bring to boil,cook 3 minutes,without stirring.
  • Spread on crackers.
  • BAKE 5-7 minutes,or until topping is golden brown.
  • Immediately sprinkle with chocolate pieces;
  • Let stand 5 minutes or until chocolate is softened.
  • Spread chocolate over ingredients in pan;
  • Sprinkle with nuts.
  • Cool.
  • Break into pieces.

    My husband's Mom makes these using club crackers, they are so good. Do you think it would work with graham crackers or be too sweet?

    I found this recipe in a cookbook and is titled toffee.
