How to make it

  • 1.Soak the apricots in lukewarm water for 3-4 hrs.the apricots should be fully submerged in water.
  • 2.After soaking it for 3-4 hrs,drain out the water and deseed the apricots,this should not be very difficult since the apricots would have softened by now.
  • 3.Do not throw away the seeds,crack them open and collect all the kernels from the inside & keep them in a bowl .discard the shell
  • 4.Mash half of the quantity of the apricots into a pulp.
  • 5.Boil the milk in a deep bottomed pan for 2 mins,add both the whole apricots and the mashed ones
  • 6.Continue to boil over low heat,stirring from time to time
  • 7.Mix in the sugar&continue to stir till the sugar fully dissolves & the apricots are cooked and soft.
  • 8.Lastly mix in the fresh cream and the apricot kernals.
  • 9.Serve at room temperature or cold with sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice-cream
