Ingredients
  • 2 lb. of cubed beef stew meat
  • 1/4 c. of all-purpose flour
  • 1 (14 oz) can of beef broth
  • 1 c. of beer
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp. of packed brown sugar
  • 1 (15 oz) can of mixed vegetables, drained
  • 1 tsp. of dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 c. of margarine

Directions
  1. First you want to preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Now in your dutch oven you want to melt butter over medium flame.
  3. Next you can go ahead and cook beef in smaller batches until browned.
  4. Then you can remove beed and put this aside for now.
  5. In pan, add the broth, beer, onion, garlic, brown sugar, thyme, and the bay leaf.
  6. This needs to boil before returning beef to pan.
  7. Now cover this and bake approx. 90 min.
  8. Then you can add in the veggies and cover for another 60 min.
  9. Take out the bay leaf and serve!
