How to make it

  • -in medium saucepan, heat milk and rice, stirring frequently so milk does not burn. Bring to a slow simmer.
  • -in a seperate bowl, combine eggs, sugar and vanilla. when rice has soaked up half of the milk, add egg mixture to the pot.
  • -allow to cook for just a few more minutes or when there is only a little milk left, stirring occasionally.
  • -eat while still hot or chill in the fridge and eat cold. good for dessert or as a snack. can also be made into a breakfast pudding by adding raisins, dates etc.
