Acorn Squash and Sausage Delight

- 1 medium acorn squash shopping list
- 1/2 pound ground hot sausage shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons honey shopping list
- Cut squash in half crosswise. shopping list
How to make it
- Trim just enough off each end to enable the halves to stand up on a shallow baking dish.
- Remove seeds with a spoon.
- Lightly spray dish with cooking spray and place squash cup side down in baking dish.
- Bake at 350 for 30 minutes then remove from oven.
- Meanwhile form sausage into small balls and brown in a skillet.
- Drain well on paper towels.
- When squash has been removed from oven turn each half cup side up.
- Put a tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon brown sugar in cavity of each.
- Fill each half with sausage balls then drizzle a tablespoon or so of honey over sausage.
- Return to oven and bake another 30 minutes.
