Hotdog Bun Pudding Or Custard

This hotdog / hamburger bun pudding has the texture and flavour of a good egg custard. It is a perfect dessert when you're in a hurry and you've got leftover buns.
Ingredients
- 6 hotdog or hamburger buns – opened shopping list
- *If you use hamburger buns, then double the amounts for the custard and use a 9 x 13 casserole dish shopping list
- 1 stick / 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 cups 2% milk shopping list
- *Sometimes a sprinkling of cinnamon is a welcomed flavour addition. shopping list
How to make it
- Place buns on a lightly greased pan, crust side up.
- Melt butter and pour over buns.
- Beat remaining ingredients and pour over the buns.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
- We like to drizzle pure maple syrup over top when it's still hot.
