How to make it

  • Recipe #2 by Integrity: I have never really been keen on having one oil for both scalp and hair cos essential oils can stink a bit and its too much for the hair. what i have done is get 2 small spray bottles and make up oil for the hair and oil for the scalp.
  • for the hair oil cocktail i have combined oils which are known for the properties of strengthening, thickening conditioning and softening both the hair and especially new growth
  • this is my recipe for my hair oil cocktail
  • unrefined coconut oil (softenes new growth)
  • jojoba oil (moisturise, condition and improves elasticity of the hair with consistent use)
  • castor oil (softens, thickens and rejuvenates roots)
  • d-panthenol (thickens and shines)
  • i have had excellent results with this when i spray it on my hair from roots to ends before airdrying, i add no essential oils cos they cost a lot to be used on the hair like that and i feel they benefit the scalp more than the hair
  • As with WGO and the Carolyn Gray oil the mixture is very rich so i use sparingly.
  • this is my recipe for the stimulating scalp oil cocktail. I added oils known for stimulating a nice healthy scalp circulation
  • rosemary, lavender and peppermint oil (stimulate hair cells and growth, relieve dryness and itching)
  • castor oil (stimulates thicker hair growth)
  • wheatgerm oil (rich source of vit E good for fading edges)
  • jojoba oil (similar to scalp oil, dissolves excess sebum, conditions and moistens scalp)
  • i use this mainly on my edges but of course, it is also good for weekly or nightly scalp massages. as we all know other essential oils can go in, clary sage, cedarwood, ylang, ylang etc... i get a nice tingling feeling esp after a hair wash
  • the spray bottle makes application very very easy.
