How to make it

  • In a large bowl, combine sugar and ground ginger. Stir in the pears, crystallized ginger and lime juice,set aside.
  • Mix all batter ingredients together. Pour the butter into an ungreased 11x7 baking dish. Pour batter over butter, don't stir it. Spoon the pear mixture over the top. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes. Crust should be bubbly and golden brown.
