How to make it

  • Butterscotch filling
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/3 water
  • 1/3 butterscotch morsels
  • 1 beaten egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • Mix forst 6 ingredients together in saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat; add butter, coconut and nuts. Cool.
  • Sea foam frosting
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream or tartar
  • 1 Tablespoon corn syrup
  • Cook until a little syrup dropped in cold water forms a soft ball (aroung 236). Beat egg white with cream of tarter until stiff peaks form. Add syrup to beaten egg white in slow stream, beating until thick.
