Green Pepper Steak

- 1 lb. beef chuck or round (fat trimmed) shopping list
- 1/4 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 1 clove garlic shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. grated fresh ginger or 1/2 tsp.ground shopping list
- 1/4 cup salad oil shopping list
- 1 cup green onion, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 cup red or green peppers cut into 1" squares shopping list
- 2 stalks of celery thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 TBSP. corn starch shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 2 tomatoes, cut into wedges shopping list
How to make it
- With a very sharp knife cut beef across grain into thin strips (1/8" thick)
- Combine soy sauce garlic, ginger. Add beef. Toss & set aside
- while preparing vegetables
- Heat oil in large frying pan or wok. Add beef & toss over high
- heat until brown. Taste meat. If it's not tender, cover & simmer for
- 30-40 min. over low heat
- Turn heat up & add vetables. Toss until vegtables are tender crisp,
- about 10 min.
- Mix corn starch with water.
- Add to pan, stir & cook until thickened
- Add tomatoes & heat through
