Catfish Stew

- 1lb. of catfish fillets, cut into 1 inch pieces shopping list
- 1/2 c. of celery, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 c.of green bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 c. of onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil shopping list
- 2 c.. of water shopping list
- 2 cubes beef bouillon shopping list
- 2 (8 oz) cans of diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 (10 oz) package of frozen okra shopping list
- 1 tsp of salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of dried thyme shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1/8 tsp of hot pepper sauce shopping list
How to make it
- First you want to take a large pot putting 2 c. of water in it and let it boil.
- Put your bouillon cubes in the boiling water.
- Now in a skillet, add the olive oil and saute the celery, green pepper, onion, and the garlic.
- Once these veggies are tender, add the tomatoes, okra, and the cooked veggies to the pot.
- Now season with salt, red pepper, thyme, bay leaf, and your favorite hot sauce.
- Let this cook approx. 30 min.
- Add the catfish and cook another 15 min.
- Ladle and serve!
