How to make it

  • In a large skillet your going to want to brown the meat and drain the fat.
  • Then get your stew pot or something like that and add everything else and allow that to simmer for about 3 hours.

    This is a new traditional dish at my house for thanksgiving :) I've been making it alot lately - I omit mushrooms since we aren't fans of it and it's yummy! :D Thank you for sharing this! :) ... now what to do with the left over turkey...

    I'm guessing from the ingredients listed that the total carbs for the whole pot would be around 60. I guess from there it would just be portion control.

    You can use beef broth instead of water. My basic lo carb chile is the same as yours but I use beef broth. It has zero carbs and makes the chile much more flavorfull.
