Turkey Burger

- 450 g extra lean ground turkey - always use fresh, not frozen shopping list
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 red/orange pepper, finely chopped shopping list
- NOTE: I add some finely chopped jalapeno pepper shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 3-4 Tbsp. rice flour(for wheat sensitive individuals) shopping list
- NOTE: I use regular all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1-2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped shopping list
- 2 tsp. dried mixed herbs shopping list
- 2 dashes Tabasco sauce (optional) shopping list
- olive oil for frying shopping list
- rice flour to stop burgers sticking when being shaped shopping list
How to make it
- Place all the ingredients except the eggs into a large mixing bowl and combine thoroughly.
- Add the beaten egg and mix until all of the egg is absorbed into the mixture.
- Put a small amount of olive oil into a hot frying pan.
- Place the burgers in frying pan/grill/barbecue and gently cook until they are lightly browned and cooked all the way through, turning over halfway into the cooking time.
- Be certain the burgers are thoroughly cooked.
