Fudge Sundae Dessert Ice Cream Pie

I have this on my birthday instead of cake. It is a much requested family favorite. The recipe could easily be changed by using different flavors of ice cream and/or adding candy or nuts on top.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups evaporated milk shopping list
- 2 Cups semi-sweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 2 Cups miniature marshmallows shopping list
- About 1 Box vanilla wafer cookies shopping list
- About 2 Quarts vanilla ice cream shopping list
How to make it
- Heat Evaporated Milk, Chocolate Chips, and Miniature Marshmallows in a heavy saucepan over medium heat until melted and thickened,.
- Take off heat and cool to room temperature.
- Line bottom and sides of 9 X 13 pan with vanilla wafers (I use a plastic container).
- Spoon about 1 quart of ice cream over wafers.
- Cover with half of chocolate mixture.
- Repeat with 1 quart of ice cream and other half of chocolate mixture.
- Freeze 3-5 hours
