Katiedids Super easy Pulled Pork BBQ

- One five to six pound fresh pork shoulder. shopping list
- Two medium sweet onions, sliced thinly.I use vidalias. shopping list
- Three tablespoons of Tony Chatcheries Creole original seasoning. shopping list
- One and a half cups of ketchup shopping list
- One tablespoon dry mustard. shopping list
- One tablespoon packed brown sugar. shopping list
- One tablespoon powdered garlic. shopping list
- apple juice to just cover bottom of shoulder. shopping list
- One fourth cup cider vinegar. shopping list
How to make it
- Rub shoulder with spices and ketchup,reserving apple juice ,vinegar and onions.
- Place shoulder in covered baking pan,spread onions around and add apple juice and vinegar to just cover bottom of pan,about one and a half inches.
- Bake at 350 degrees for three to four hours,till shoulder begins to fall off bone. Check to make sure that shoulder does not cook dry!
- Take meat out of pan,cover and let rest. Can be done a day ahead before next step,then refridgerated.
- Reserve pan juices.
- Remove meat from bones and any fat or sinew.
- Chop meat to your liking,adding back to pan with as much of the sauce as you want.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes till sauce begins to carmelize,stirring to prevent burning of sauce.
- Serve addidional sauce on the side with rolls and cheese for sandwiches. Great with cole slaw in the Carolina tradition. Be ready for seconds!
