Onion Pudding

- [Bake these while your roast is resting after removing from oven] shopping list
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. shopping list
- IN LARGE SKILLET, cook in hot oil for 5 minutes over low heat: shopping list
- 2 medium onions, cut in 8 wedges each, root ends attached. shopping list
- Season with salt & pepper to taste shopping list
- Add 2 tbsp. butter shopping list
- Add 1 clove minced garlic shopping list
- Cook 8 minutes or more, or till onions are tneder. Remove from the heat & set aside. shopping list
- Grease 10-12 (5oz. or 7 oz.) baking dishes with 1 tbsp. butter shopping list
- In a bowl, combine: shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups milk shopping list
- Whisk in 1/3 cup regular flour shopping list
- ADD: 4 oz. shredded white cheddar cheese & 1 tbsp. chopped fresh sage leaves. shopping list
- Spoon cooked onions evenly into dishes, then pour egg mixture over them. Bake 20-25 minutes or till puffed & golden. Remove & let stand 12 minutes. Serve warm with fresh sage leaves to garnish. shopping list
