Refrigerator Pickled Slaw

The flavor of this slaw is reminiscent of Chicago-style hot dogs with the distinct taste of celery seed. Excellent on a dog or as a tangy side.
Ingredients
- 1 head green and/or red cabbage, very thinly sliced shopping list
- 1/2 red onion, very finely sliced shopping list
- 1/2 english cucumber, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced crosswise shopping list
- 1 tablespoon celery seed shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients very well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Best if allowed to marinate overnight before serving
