Cinnamon Plum-tea Dip

- 1 tbs spiced-plum tea leaves or Raspberry Zinger tea shopping list
- 1 cup boiling water shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 lb ripe plums, unpeeled, pitted and quartered shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 cup good-quality Japanese plum wine shopping list
How to make it
- Place tea in a small, heatproof bowl; cover with boiling water. Steep for 2 -3 minutes. Strain tea through a fine sieve into a medium saucepan.
- Add the sugar and plums. Bring the mixture to the boiling point; reduce heat to low. Simmer until plums are tender, 10 minutes.
- Strain the liquid into a medium bowl; reserve. Put the plum pulp into a food processor. Process until smooth. Add pulp to reserved liquid. Stir in salt, cinnamon, and plum wine. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight. Serve with skewered fresh fruit.
