Blueberry Caramel Sauce

- 2 c fresh blueberries,5 TB water,divided shopping list
- pinch of kosher salt shopping list
- 1-1/2 c sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp. plus 1 TB fresh lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Combine berries,1TB water and coarse salt in med. saucepan. Stir and mash over med-low heat till reduced to sauce consistency,about 4 mins. Set aside
- Combine sugar,4 TB water and 2 tsp lemon juice in large saucepan. Stir over med-low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and boil without stirring until syrup is golden amber,occasionally brushing down sides of pan with wet pastry brush and swirling pan,9 mins.
- Remove from heat. Stir in blueberry sauce;let stand 5 mins.
- Cool sauce to room temperature. Stir in remaining 1 TB lemon juice.
