Oven Split Pea Soup

- 1 1/2 lbs split peas, rinsed and drained shopping list
- 1 lb carrots, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 head celery, chopped shopping list
- 1 onion, diced shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 3 bay leaves shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 t dried sage shopping list
- 2 t dried thyme shopping list
- 4C chicken stock shopping list
- 8C water shopping list
- 1 lb turky kielbasa sausage, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place all ingredients except for sausage in pot. Bake, covered, for 3 hours.
- Add kielbasa sausage, remove bay leaves, and puree soup with immersion blender until mostly smooth, but with some chunks.
- Cover and return to oven for 1 more hour.
- Enjoy!
