A nice and easy dessert to use up bread that's too old for sandwiches.

Ingredients
  • A loaf of white bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cups of milk and cream mixed together in whatever ratio you like
  • A splash of vanilla essence
  • Add more dried fruit for flavour

Directions
  1. Slice the bread and remove any hard crusts. Then butter the bread.
  2. Mix the eggs together with the sugar and milk.
  3. Layer the bread in the bottom of an oven proof dish with dried fruit in between.
  4. Pour the liquid over the lot and pop into the oven.
  5. Bake at 180c for 30 minutes.
