Parmesan Poblano Cheese Grits

- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup grits shopping list
- 1 tbs finely chopped, seeded, fresh poblano chile shopping list
- 1/2 stick or 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 1/8 tsp white pepper shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium saucepan, bring the water and salt to a rolling boil. Slowly stir in the grits. Reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened and smooth, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Stir in the chile, butter, cheese, cream, and white pepper. Bring to a simmer and then simmer to blend flavors, 1 - 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
