I love roasts slow cooked in a crock pot. Makes them so fork tender. I'm rating it a 5, and if you don't mind I added it to the Group "Crock Pots are cool again"

Have you ever tried browning the meat before putting it in the crock pot? I do and it gives it a nice flavor, and I think makes the meat more tender. I do it for my pot roast (which I don't put vegetables in, just onion soup mix and then make gravy) and my beef stew (with vegetables).
