Toffee Almond Sandies

- 1 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 1 cup canola oil shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp almond extract shopping list
- 4 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp cream of tartar shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 cups sliced lamonds shopping list
- 1 pkg English toffee bits (10 oz.) or almond Brickle chips (7 1/2 oz.) shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, oil, and both of the sugars.
- Add the eggs, one at a time
- Beat well after each addition
- Beat in the extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
- Gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the almonds and toffee chips
- Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets
- Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
- Remove to wire racks to cool completely
