How to make it

  • Reconstitute vegetable protein with liquid of choice. Start adding gradually enough hot liquid to vegetable protein in a bowl until it soaks up the water and is softened
  • Meanwhile one can saute the onions,mushrooms and peppers in a pan with a little oil on the stovetop till softened, add the vegetavle protein and enough sauce as desired and bring to a boil and then simmer until all vegetables are tender.
  • OR simply place everything in a slow cooker and cook low until veges are tender ( about 2 to 3 hours on high )or longer on low settings
  • When finished correct seasonings if desired
  • Served with condiments of choice
  • Note: this freezes and reheats well and multiplies successfully
  • And if you want to add any beans to the recipe: yes of course!!!
