How to make it

  • Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and pour in buttermilk. Stir from the inside out, by hand.
  • Flour board and hands. Press out and shape dough. Brush top with egg wash. Cut into scones.
  • Optional: dip wedges into grated Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake 10-15 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
